Natural Landscape: Painting in Exceptional Places **CANCELLED**

 

A week long landscape painting exploration of the beautiful North West Highlands of Scotland.

Based at the award winning Lime Tree An Ealdhain Hotel - Restaurant - Gallery.

You will visit specially chosen locations each day, experience the best of Highland Landscape, gather reference images which you will then work on back at the Studio.

Your Guide and Tutor is David Wilson, a qualified mountain guide and art teacher. David lives and works in the West Highlands, employing bold impressionist techniques to produce dramatic images of the landscape he loves. Itinerary

 

Day 1: Course starts at 12.00 Saturday with an outline of the week ahead, followed by some Lunch. Our first  reference trip is to 'Glen Nevis : the Waterfall at Steall Gorge'

Day 2: Morning work review. Lunch. Reference trip to 'The Moor at Rannoch & Glencoe'

Day 3: Work review. Lunch. Reference trip to 'The White Sands of Morar'

Day 4: Work review. Lunch. Reference trip to  'North Face of Ben Nevis'

Day 5: Work review. Lunch. Reference trip to 'Caledonian Forest at Strontian'

Day 6: Work review. Lunch. Reference trip ' Lochs and Highland Sky - Ballachulish'

Day 7: A day in the gallery/studio preparing an exhibition of the weeks work.

Followed by public opening of exhibition

 

Accommodation

 

You will stay in ensuite rooms at the Lime Tree An Ealdhain Hotel. Dinner will be in the Hotel's

multi award winning 2 AA Rosette Restaurant recently voted in the top 10 Scottish Small Restaurants.

Breakfast and Lunch is also included along with all transport and tution.

 

Course Fees

£960 per person. £500 for non participating partners. Residential only.
